The smallest seed in the world is the Epiphytic Orchid seed, which measures only about one-seventh of a millimeter in size. Despite its tiny stature, this minuscule seed carries within it the immense potential to grow into a magnificent and captivating plant.

Of course, to a first century farmer in Judea, the mustard seed was considered to be the smallest. If Jesus had said “Epyphitic Orchid Seed” instead of Mustard Seed, I think that would have distracted from his point, which was about faith, not seeds!
